Nevada’s new governor has signed an executive order for a task force on sexual harassment. The task force will review federal and state sexual harassment laws, regulations, and policies, as well as prevention plans and the training in place now.
The task force will offer recommendations to the Governor to improve prevention plans and training procedures, allegation reporting and investigation protocol, and privacy protection safeguards, as well as models for policies, procedures, and training within the executive branch agencies.
The task force will be headed up by the Nevada Attorney General.
The task force is a direct response to current headlines and reports across the U.S. regarding sexual harassment. The governor said they needed to “be deliberate” in pursuing the goals of the task force.
