It has been about one year since the evolution of the #MeToo movement. During that time, at least 201 high-ranking male executives have been called out on allegations of sexual harassment. A look at their replacements reveals that of the 122 people who have replaced these men, 69 are male and 53 are female.
The #MeToo movement has not only exposed more than 200 high-ranking men, it has also been a voice for more than 900 victims of harassment by these men. Some of them, including Harvey Weinstein, face criminal charges.
There is no doubt that the #MeToo movement has shaken American workplaces for the better. Companies have been forced to address sexual harassment and women have felt more empowered to speak out against their harassers.
